Beauty Is Everywhere

Beauty really is everywhere! It is in the ugliest places.

Beauty can even be found in the ugliest of people.

Sometimes you just have to look.  And perhaps, at times….

you may have to look really hard.

But it is there, I promise!

Picture 074

This picture was the only pretty thing in sight from where I was. It was a ran down trailer park in Tennessee. And the only sign of life in sight aside from a few happy birds and squirrels. But had I not looked, I would have missed it. Even in a ran down trailer park, there it was…. beauty!

????????????????????????????????????

To some it is a weed, but it’s a flower!

This picture was taken at a dump, in the middle of the mountains. Granted, I am not certain this location was meant to be a dump, but that is where that long gravel road took us.

And that is what people in this particular area had made it. A dump. There were shards of broken glass, trash, and bugs galore. From the looks of it, perhaps dead bodies were hidden there. Who knows?

Although this is a weed to some, in the midst of a dump….. it looked beautiful against the blues skies and other landscape. So yes, even in the trashiest of places, there is still beauty.

This topic was on my mind quite a bit this past week. It is hard to find beauty in things and people sometimes, so I made that my personal challenge.

Now I pass the challenge on to you. In the next week or from now on, look for beauty in the ugliest of places. Let me know what you find. What would you have missed, had you not looked so close?

Bridges Crossed – Bridges Burned

Some bridges are there for the view and others are meant to be crossed. No bridges should ever be burned. Burning them prevents us from crossing them again someday, and we never know when that time will come.

Instead of burning them, build beside the old bridge and create a new way. The other bridge can be the blueprint for building the new bridge. Not to mention, by leaving the old bridge in place it is easier to see how far you have come.

Build them, instead of burning them. It not only looks better, but feels better too.

Setbacks Are Truly Comebacks

Are You Embracing Life’s Storms?

I was out storm chasing a few months ago and I captured a beautiful photo, as well as some insight to share with it.

We can’t let the storms of life zap us. When lightning crashes it brings light. When rain pours it allows nourishment for more growth. When the wind blows strong, it is to see how well we are planted.

There really is beauty in all those storms. There’s no need to be afraid. These storms only come to promote necessary changes. Embrace it, and welcome it. The sun will be shining brighter than ever before when it finally passes!

If Heaven Is All Around Us, Is Hell Right In Front Of Us?

As I left a local eatery after having had lunch with my sister, I pondered our many conversations throughout the rest of the day. Her and I typically have deep and thought-provoking conversations, and this was another one to add to the mix. The conversation that stood out the most was our discussion of personal strengths and weaknesses.

Our greatest strengths in life can also be our greatest weaknesses. Without balance of both, we will find ourselves living in chaos.

As night fell I thought it would be great to try to capture some pictures of lightning crashing on the fairway. I gathered up some things and went outside in hopes for storm pictures. Unfortunately the storm never came to where I was, but something more amazing appeared to the camera and to me as I began to photograph the moon. It was something that couldn’t be seen with the naked eye.

The first picture appeared normal and beautiful,

with only clouds and the moon.

The photographs became more amazing as I continued to shoot.

The moon is still in the clouds,

however there is a giant Orb floating above it.

As you can see, it is pretty good size.

In this photo the clouds covered the moon to make a heart.

This photo is unexplainable. I was not moving,

so  it’s not an issue of movement or blurring.

The houses are clear and stationary in both corners of the picture.

In this photo the moon grew longer. Again, houses are stationary. It reminded me of the serpent’s tail and provoked deep thoughts from within me.

If our greatest strengths are also our greatest weaknesses; Could it be possible that the same object  that gives us life, light and energy is also what the bible refers to as the fires of hell?

Is it possible that people have wondered for centuries where hell is, and it has been right in front of us all along?  Often times in life when we are searching the hardest for something, we find that it was right under our nose the entire time. And if heaven is all around us as generations in the past have said, then wouldn’t it make sense for hell to be right in front of us?

Greeting Card – FAITH

I began designing greeting cards and am building a portfolio to submit to different places. So far, this one is my absolute favorite! What do you think? Debating weather or not to leave the inside blank or put a catchy quote referencing faith.

Opinions appreciated! Thank you!
