Finding Hope
ABC’s of Life Series — Day 8 Letter H : Help Others See The Light
Day 8 Letter H
Now that we have tackled the concept of allowing others grace to grow; we naturally begin to help others see the light. Because we have given them grace they will seek us out time and time again in times of trouble. They will return because we offer acceptance.
When others feel our acceptance of them despite where they are in their life journey; they will then begin to see and feel our love. When they feel our love, they will begin to see the light. Once they see the light, the chains that bind them are finally broken.
There are multiple ways that we can help others see light in particular situations. It could be by handing them a tract or brochure, referring them to someone else that can relate better, suggesting a particular song or movie, or by simply being a light ourselves: through conversation or by setting an example with our own lives.
To some people we are merely a match flame.
To some a candle or lantern.
To others we may be the sun.
We all shed light.
In some way.
And light affects everyone.

Love Is Like A Tattoo
I designed this greeting card after having reflected upon my own life as well as the lives of others. Once true love is found; it will always exist. It may change forms but it is still there somehow. While on some days the flame will be brighter than others; it will never go away.
We may cover it, and we may hide it but still we know it is there. And sometimes others can catch a glimpse of it without us even knowing that they noticed. Like a tattoo, love is hard to hide.
Just as ink covers the body we all long to be covered in love. And just as the ink creates a design that becomes a beautiful piece of art, love paints a picture for us all that we will always hold close to our heart.

The Benefits Of Honesty
Lying can make people victorious initially, but it is only temporary. By being honest in all areas you will gain respect from others in the long run; which is far more admirable. It takes much strength to be honest in all situations. And those lacking honesty; simply lack character, insight, and direction. Fear dictates their lives.
As we know the truth will be seen eventually, and those that once screamed victory from the revelation of lies; will realize they were defeated all along. They defeated themselves the moment they delivered those lies and deception. They defeated themselves by remaining in denial. And they will continue to defeat themselves until there is a realization that life is far too short, to live a lie.
When looking at the big picture one can clearly see that lying brings about failure, while remaining honest promotes success. I have seen it time and time again. My best advice to anyone that reads this; is advice that was once passed to me. “Just be honest. It may bite you at first, but eventually, others will see that what you are/were saying is real.” Once others begin to separate the truth from the lies, and the facts from the fiction; you can experience true victory without having compromised who you are in the process.
“Stand for the truth at all times.
As liars begin to trip themselves up, you will still be standing.
It is much easier to stand; than continuing to fall.”

The Importance Of Breaking Cycles
“We must break the cycle before it breaks us”
Cycles can be vicious and are often hard to break. To break them, we must continuously focus on the big picture. We have to focus on the positive side of breaking the cycle. By focusing there we will find the cycle broken sooner rather than later.
If we opt not to break the cycle, it eventually will break us more than it already has. Not to mention there are already plenty of broken people in the world. By breaking the cycle, we can then begin to help those broken people in the world who are in a cycle quite like ours was.
“We know we have broken the cycle once we find ourselves helping
others break that same cycle. And with that, there is much hope.”

Thoughts and Quote Of The Day
“Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad.
Let God deal with the things they do. Hate in your heart will consume you too.”
– Will Smith
When people put you down – let it go. They do it because they feel bad about themselves.
When people lie to you and hide things – let it go. They do it because they have lost sight of who they are. They are best friends with fear and denial.
When people make false promises – let it go. They are too self absorbed to notice most of the time.
When people disrespect you – let it go. It is because they do not respect themselves.
When people discourage you – let it go. It’s because they lack that courage themselves.
When people hate you – let it go and love them anyway. Hate and anger will destroy you. Love is much simpler.
When people can’t say thank you – let it go. There will come a day they wished they would have.
When you find yourself upset – let it go. It’s better to choose happiness.
When people refuse to pay time or attention to things that matter to you – let it go. God will send you people that will.

Take Time
I don’t usually write personal blog entries on here, however, today is different. The meaning behind this quote and photo deserve an explanation. This photo was taken in route to meet the president of a publishing company in Nashville a few weeks ago. I was there in pursuit of my dream. I was in the midst of becoming an official author.
It was all just a simple twist of fate that I met this man, especially the way we met. We met on eBay, when he asked a question on an item I had listed. As we wrote back and forth we decided it would be worth both of our while to meet, and we did. It was an answer to my prayers, and a dream come true.
This dream of mine is becoming more real every day. My work will soon be in s15,000 stores across the country. It will be on shelves, which is amazing. Most know that it is hard to get shelf space in this country nearly 1600 books published daily by various authors. So to me just as any other author, this is a huge deal.
I am excited, I am passionate, and I have a zillion things to write. I can’t wait to see what the future holds, as I have more hope now than ever before. My happiness tank at this point, is pretty full. Now if I could land a job with the local newspaper, I would be in heaven.
“Find a dream and chase it. Happiness will then chase you.”
